Puncture Protection Strip (PPS): An extra layer of uniquely-crafted fabric with highly resistant properties sits between the casing and the tire to reduce the risk of punctures. Tires intended for use in intense conditions with a high puncture risk are reinforced with a second PPS layer beneath the casing.

Rubber: Our treads are made from locally sourced natural rubber near our own factory in Thailand and hand glued to the tires casing. Natural rubber more supple and grips the road far better than synthetic rubbers.

Casings: Super Poly and Polyester casings are cost effective and more durable than cotton and still providing the qualities of top-end tubular tires.

Thread count (TPI): Thread count plays a major role in the weight, suppleness (rolling resistance) and durability of Tubular and Open Tubular. The higher the number of threads per inch (TPI), the thinner each individual thread is makes a more supple, thinner and lighter wieght casing with less rolling resistance (faster down the road).

Non-vulcanized: The difference between a Handmade Open Tubular (clincher) tire and the Vast majority of clinchers tire is. There is no vulcanization, a heat and pressure process that is used to bind the materials together but compromises the ride quality during the process because the rubber becomes stiff and less supple. On handmade Open Tubular the treads are hand-glued onto tires, and the latex and rubber remains supple with a lower rolling resistance.
